Exhibit Animals: Magellanic Penguins

Watch these dapper divers plunge to catch their favorite fatty fishes. Our colony of Magellanic penguins includes survivors from a group of birds that washed up on the shores of Brazil—thousands of miles from their breeding colonies in Patagonia.

CHANGING CURRENTS

Recent changes in ocean currents have put Magellanic penguins on a diet. The fish they eat move when ocean temperatures rise or fall, so hungry penguins need to swim farther and settle for any food they can find.

CARING COMMUNITIES: HOPE TAKING ROOT

Schools and neighborhoods are taking an active roll in reducing carbon pollution. Acting locally is good for the Earth and it's building stronger communities.
> What are people doing?

Simple changes in what we eat can make us—and the Earth—healthier, and lead to delicious discoveries.
